Dr. Mark Sloan of Seattle Grace Hospital died from his wounds in a woodland
plane crash. (His lover, Lexie Grey, also perished.) And so ended the theory of relateeveety which linked 'Grey's Anatomy' to 'Diagnosis Murder'.
