Oh hey, this clicks home with me. Paulson's son owns the Portland Timbers soccer team in Major League Soccer, named after our original team of the 70s and 80s in the North American Soccer League (at which point Hartford and New Haven were in the league), of which I attended a game once (in the indoor season). Heheh, sounds like a six degrees crossover for me. No more valid than my two appearances as a successful commercial break call-in contestant for 3 questions in 30 seconds twice on a local game show, the second of which led to an in-studio appearance during-the-commercial-break celebrating the station's 30th anniversary and appearing in the audience for a taping of another episode (and having met one champion who I eventual became a fellow employee with).
