Product placement is still going strong in Toobworld, but I have to wonder if any studies have been done to determine whether or not they actually work in selling the advertiser's product?
For the time being, most of them are amusing even if they can be quite blatant. 'The Office' seems to be the best at handling the practice, but even they can go overboard - like Kevin with that Staples shredder.
I liked a recent two-fer in an episode of 'My Boys' on TBS (a show I liked a lot, but not enough to award it any Toobits). After PJ compared Match.com to eBay, the show included commercials for not only Match.com but also eBay!
