DON'T STOP BELIEV-#

I walk by the Broadway theatre where "Rock of Ages" is playing most every night as I go to work. And the closing number (during the curtain calls?) can be heard out on the street as the people stream out of the theatre - it's "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey.

Nobody's asked me, and for alls I know, they already do this - I never stick around long enough to find out - but they should just stop the song cold and let the stage go dark instantly, a la the finale of 'The Sopranos'.I'm just sayin', is all......

AS SEEN ON TV, EH: BOB AND DOUG MacKENZIE

A little something different for today's "As Seen On TV" feature upon our return to regular posting after vacation......

Global TV is showing "Bob & Doug" on Sunday nights. It's an animated look at Bob and Doug MacKenzie, the characters created by Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis for SCTV. The MacKenzie Brothers have also appeared on a 1983 installment of 'Saturday Night Live' (hosted by Lily Tomlin) and starred in their own cinematic spin-off, "Strange Brew".

They had an earlier series set in the Tooniverse back in 2003, but I'm not sure if this new show is a spin-off, or for alls I know, it's the same series rerun. BCnU!

From Wikipedia:

Lillian Rogers Parks (February 1, 1897 – November 6, 1997) was an American maid and seamstress in the White House. With the journalist Frances Spatz Leighton, co-author of a number of White House memoirs, Parks published My Thirty Years Backstairs at the White House. The book covers a 60 year period in the life of domestic staff in the White House. It reports Parks's experiences as a seamstress, and those of her mother, 'Maggie' Rogers, who served as a maid for thirty years.

TVXOHOF, 05/2009-D: THE PLAYBOY MANSION

This month's Location inductee into the TV Crossover Hall of Fame is a home for queens - beauty queens, that is.
THE PLAYBOY MANSION
The Playboy Mansion is one of only two actual locations from the real world to be inducted this year into the Hall. But even so, the place just smacks of fantasy.

I mean, I guess so. It's not like I'm ever going to get inside to have a look.....

Here are the shows that had storylines take place at the Playboy Mansion:

'Entourage'
'Sex & The City'
'Curb Your Enthusiasm'
'Buddy Faro' And I suppose to flavor the list, there's always 'The Girls Next Door'.....
