KURT BARLING
In 1989 he swapped the world of theory for a more practical experience in BBC journalism.
Two weeks into the new career he had a baptism of fire covering the fall of the Berlin Wall as part of the team making the first documentary from the “wall-free” Communist East.
Since September 11th 2001 he has been the Special Correspondent for BBC London News where he says his Ph.D. in International Relations is being put to good use in the world’s most ethnically diverse city.
