At the end of last month, I shared my theory about the ending for 'How I Met Your Mother' as well as another which was posted on Facebook. Now another theory has shown up on Facebook:
Ted's only sibling I believe is his younger sister. So if he's their biological uncle, his sister would be their mother, so that nullifies that theory.
I'm pretty much in the camp that Ted is their father, and their mother is the girl who they've shown (or rather almost shown) throughout the series, who he will end up with.
Why end the series on a downer, or leave it open. The fans deserve closure, and so does Ted. If it's ending, why not end it, and end it on a high note? Why can't we still have happy endings in the cynical 21st century?
I'd want something that would be memorable, to be mentioned in the same sentence as MTM show, Newhart, MASH, St. Elsewhere, the Fugitive etc. I think mine fits that bill and they could still find a way to make it humorous....
As the Trickster once said, "Reality is boring, that's why I change it whenever I can."
I'm just "The Man Who Viewed Too Much", and "Inner Toob" is a blog exploring and celebrating the 'reality' of an alternate universe in which everything that ever happened on TV actually takes place.
Most of my theories about the TV Universe come from thinking inside the box and thus can't be proven. But I've never been one to shy away from a tall tale.....
Remember: "The more you watch, the more you've seen!"
