CROSSOVER CLARIFICTION 4 KRISTIN

Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online apparently doesn't know what the word crossover means.....

First she made this annoucnement:
"Good news if you are a fan of Leighton Meester and Nina Dobrev: Their executive producer has promised to "work on" getting these real-life friends to guest star on each other's CW shows."The shows she's talking about are 'Gossip Girl' and 'The Vampire Diaries' respectively.

And then she ended with:
"Nina and Leighton, I usually charge 10 percent commission in such cases, but in this case you can pay us fans with some good crossover TV!"

THIS IS NOT A TV CROSSOVER!

In a TV crossover, it's their characters who would determine the crossover. Creating new characters for them to play on the other's show would just be a whole new character with no other tie to any other show.

And they'd have to appear as different characters. As much as I'd be okay with shows from different genres interacting, I don't think the network would warm up to that idea.

But who knows? They might still surprise us.
