A little something different for today's "As Seen On TV" feature upon our return to regular posting after vacation......Global TV is showing "Bob & Doug" on Sunday nights. It's an animated look at Bob and Doug MacKenzie, the characters created by Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis for SCTV. The MacKenzie Brothers have also appeared on a 1983 installment of 'Saturday Night Live' (hosted by Lily Tomlin) and starred in their own cinematic spin-off, "Strange Brew".
They had an earlier series set in the Tooniverse back in 2003, but I'm not sure if this new show is a spin-off, or for alls I know, it's the same series rerun.
