But here’s what I would like to see….
Some future incarnation of the Doctor gets involved with rescuing a child who enjoys the hobby of being a “detectorist” with his/her metal detector. Unfortunately it picks up on some ancient alien artifact long believed to be a lost relic from British folklore and legend. (Excalibur easily comes to mind but there are plenty of other weapons, shields, helmets, gloves, and even goblets or manuscripts which could turn the understanding of history on its head.
And now the original aliens who owned it are coming back for it.
I think it would be great if that child is an earlier incarnation of River Song.
