SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE - JOHN O'CREAGH'S BLIPVERSE

The physical act of watching TV puts us into a hypnoidal state

We’re inert and passive and slack-jawed and numb and our critical functions deflate

The cars are all red and they’re driven too fast and everyone screams while they’re talking

Information is just not exciting enough, so the news stories have to be shocking

All of the gunfights and all the car chases and all of the loud ballyhooing

Are there so our brains can get the impression there’s something we’re actually doing

- John O'Creagh
[Inspired by his brother Patrick]

One of these days, John should collect all of his social commentary poetry (He waxes poetic about more than just TV!) and publish them, instead of just setting them free in Facebook......
