Andy Griffith was not afraid to take chances. For instance, he risked the
good will of his audience by going dark with a few of his characters. And as we
already knew from "A Face In The Crowd", he was quite adept at plumbing the
depths of evil in those roles......
The best known of these "Movie Of The Week" roles was in "Pray For The
Wildcats", which also starred William Shatner, Robert Reed, Marjo Gortner, and
Angie Dickinson.
What was inadvertently funny about the tele-flick was that they were all
dressed like they were members of 'Star Trek'!
And then there was "Savages", which looks to have been a variation on the
"Most Dangerous Game" trope......
