The rescue of this dog was a big news story while I was down in Florida,
but I didn't know about the follow-up to this story until my brother Bill sent
me this link:
It would be a shame if they kill it. The anchorwoman shouldn't have been
so stupid to swoop in like that when the dog was probably scared of its
surroundings and had already been through a traumatic situation......
BCnU!
The follow up by the local station in Denver stated that the dog was in a 10 day quarantine, which is required by law, but was expected to be returned to his owner, who was not issued a citation. FYI: The anchor who was bitten is quite popular and an avid animal rights supporter and animal lover. She's expected to make a full recovery, but it will be months before she's back the air.
ReplyDeleteYeah, in hindsight I probably shouldn't have called her stupid but I was worried about the fate of the dog and probably just wanted to lash out at somebody.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the dog will be spared. Thanks very much for giving me the update. As it is with newspapers, this type of story gets a splashy lead, but the gets buried in follow-up stories.....
