To kick things off, here's a look at the great Geoffrey Palmer in the three roles he played on the series (none of whom had a happy ending).
Could they have been related in any way? Perhaps they all shared the same soul. As we thought we learned from the Minbari and the humans, reincarnation spans the galaxy. (Of course, for the Minbari it was a combination of mistaken identity and time travel when it came to Sinclair and Valen sharing the same soul.)
But since 'Doctor Who' spans the vast timeline of the TV Universe, I don't think there's any fear that any of these three characters existed at the same time. And as always, I could be wrong about that.....
BCnU!
And I am wrong on that. The lives of his characters in "Doctor Who And The Silurians" & "Voyage of The Damned" do overlap. The captain of the Titanic starliner would have been in his early thirties on the planet Sto during the events of the Silurian adventure....
ReplyDeleteToby, just out of curiosity, have you ever watched As Time Goes By, starring Palmer and Judi Dench? I'm somewhat of a fan of that show. (PBS airs it.) He also had a brief but good role in a film I dig, Peter Greenaway's A Zed and Two Noughts.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few of "As Time Goes By" as well as "Butterflies", but if you get the chance, check out the first season of "Hot Metal". You might have to use illicit means to find it. He's excellent in there as a principled newspaper editor who finds his paper taken over by a Rupert Murdoch type.
ReplyDeleteAnd for Judi Dench, also check out the sitcom she did with her late husband Michael Williams, "A Fine Romance"....
